Kent Design Partnership has been established since 1964. Today, the partners of the practice, Ian McCourt and Denis Batson employ 10 members of staff. An Associate Partner, four architectural technicians, an architectural student and three administrative staff. We pride ourselves upon the experience and long term loyalty of our staff.


Through recommendation and repeat commissions, our practice is engaged on architectural projects in Sittingbourne, Sheppey, Faversham, Canterbury, Maidstone, The Medway Towns and throughout Kent and the South East of England. We have also worked in the West County and as far as Edinburgh and the West Coast of Scotland. Our projects range from £1000 to £15 million.


As a small Practice we have experience of many different types of project producing drawings for Planning and Building Regulations through to completion of the project on site. We have specialised in one off housing and multiple housing projects in conjunction with various housing developers. We are comfortable with both small and large extensions to old and new properties. We have worked on a number of listed buildings and endeavour to extend them and alter sympathetically. We have also been commissioned to produce Planning and Building Regulation drawings for Educational, Ecclesiastical, Healthcare, Industrial and Commercial Buildings.
